Privacy Policy
NearDoor uses account, selected location, post, request, message, notification and safety report information to run nearby discovery. We do not sell your private messages or post contents to advertisers.
Information we collect
- Account details such as phone number, Google login details, display name and profile details.
- Selected location details such as latitude, longitude, nearby area label and saved places.
- User content such as posts, asks, optional images, messages, reports and seller verification submissions.
- Notification preferences, device push tokens and delivery status.
How we use information
- To show posts and requests inside the distance a user chooses.
- To let users post, ask, reply, reserve, chat, report, block and manage their account.
- To send phone OTP login messages and push notifications based on user preferences.
- To moderate posts, review seller checks, investigate reports and reduce scams.
Location and photos
Users can use GPS or manually move a map pin. NearDoor stores the selected point so nearby posts work. Users may upload optional images for posts, asks and seller checks. Moderators may review content for safety.
Service providers
NearDoor uses providers such as Supabase for backend services, Firebase for push notifications, Twilio for phone OTP, and map/location providers for map display and geocoding.
Advertising in the mobile app
NearDoor may show clearly labelled native advertisements in the Home and Community feeds on Android and iOS. These advertisements are provided by Google AdMob. This section describes mobile-app advertising; it does not mean that this website displays AdMob advertisements.
When advertising is enabled, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share your IP address (which can indicate an approximate location), device or app identifiers, app and advertisement interactions, and diagnostic and performance information. Google uses this information to deliver and measure advertisements, provide analytics, and prevent fraud and abuse.
NearDoor currently requests non-personalized advertisements. Non-personalized does not mean that no data is collected: identifiers and other information may still be processed for delivery, measurement, security and fraud prevention. NearDoor does not include your private messages, post contents, phone number, email address or precise selected map coordinates in its advertisement requests.
Advertising consent and your choices
Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform presents a consent message before advertisement requests are permitted. You can accept, decline or manage the choices presented. Where available, open Settings > Ad privacy choices in NearDoor to review or change your choices. Declining consent does not prevent you from using NearDoor’s normal features; advertisements may be limited or unavailable.
You can also manage advertising identifiers and relevant permissions in your device settings. On iOS, access to the advertising identifier requires Apple’s tracking permission. This version of NearDoor does not request that permission. Device settings do not necessarily stop all advertising-related data processing.
Google’s processing and retention practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy and Google advertising information. For information about partner apps and sites, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Terms of Use
NearDoor connects nearby people. Users are responsible for what they post, request, agree to and do when they meet.
Rules

- Do not post scams, fake pricing, fake location, harassment or illegal goods/services.
- Only upload content you own or have permission to use.
- NearDoor may approve, reject, close, remove or limit content/accounts for safety.

Safety Center
NearDoor is for nearby discovery, but users should still verify, meet carefully and report anything suspicious.

- Report scams, harassment, fake locations or unsafe behavior inside the app.
Support
The fastest way to report a post, request, user or app issue is from inside NearDoor. Open the post, request, chat or profile, then tap report or block when available.
If there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. NearDoor reports help moderation, but they are not emergency support.
