Safety Center
NearDoor is for nearby discovery, but users should still verify, meet carefully and report anything suspicious.
Before meeting
- Meet in a public place when possible.
- Tell someone where you are going.
- Do not share your exact home address too early.
- Check the item, food, rental or service before paying.
- Trust your instincts if someone creates pressure or urgency.
For buyers and request posters
- Compare the post details with what you see in person.
- Be careful with prices that look too good to be true.
- Avoid sending money before confirming the item or service.
- Use report/block if a seller is suspicious or abusive.
For sellers and helpers
- Use clear photos and honest descriptions.
- Keep your location approximate unless you are comfortable sharing more.
- Do not pressure users to pay before they confirm details.
- Close posts when items are sold or no longer available.
Trust signals
Phone verified, profile checked and seller checked badges are designed to improve trust. They do not remove all risk. Users should still use common sense and meet safely.
Report problems
Report scams, harassment, fake locations, illegal content, suspicious pricing or unsafe behavior from inside the app. Blocking helps stop a user from contacting you again.
